“Write Post” page severely lags, unable to publish

  • I upgraded to 2.5.1 and now the Write Post page severely lags, I am unable to save posts or publish them. (Drafts are saved via the auto-save only.)

    I can barely scroll through the list of categories and can only do so using the scroll.

    Did I upgrade wrong? Are others having this issue?

  • Yeah I just started getting a problem like this in the past week. I’d try to edit a post and the save button just flickers and it freezes my browser. Does it in IE and Firefox. I can write a new entry fine, I just can’t edit any existing ones without it going crazy.

    I got this problem today… didn’t have it on Friday when I started. Yesterday, I added a LOT of websites to Ping… and now it’s damn slow. Wondered whether it’s the system having to update the sites on my Ping list?

    I have 2.6 and it was working just fine until yesterday… it takes roughly 2 minutes to load and it never has returned to normal…

    Any suggestions, or should I just reinstall?
