My blog is not working (too big, not showing pictures) desperately need help!
-
Hello! My blog https://www.silverstories.dk
About two months ago I left a blogger agency to host my own wordPress org page. I have a web host (web10.dk) and I bought this theme https://www.etsy.com/listing/256342535/elle-minimalist-wordpress-theme and installed it on my own. After installing this theme and self hosting, my pictures on the blog started not showing up. I was advised by the owner of the theme to make them smaller, so I manually edited all the new added pictures (approximately they go back to page 5) and scaled them down to around 1500 x 2250 pixels. Still, they won’t work (some of them!)
That is what my theme owner says is the issue, but it still didn’t fix the issue.
Then I asked my web host (web10.dk) what the issue is. They say they can’t help me, but they can see via https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/bNgWBN/https://silverstories.dk/ that my page is 69 MB which is way to big. They say a page should be between 1-2 MB, and this is why my pictures won’t show because I the page is too big. They say I have too many pictures.
When Googling this issue to WordPress, I get Google results, they say it can me helpful to delete plug ins shown on your blog (such as slider, sidebar and stuff)
But I bought the theme this way and it works perfectly fine for other pages and blogs….
I do not understand this : how are big blogs like https://www.barefootblonde.com able to have such big, high-quality pictures (and so many of them in each post) with no issues + endless of plug ins and other pictures around the blog?
How does the Elle theme work for other people but not for me?
Till now I haven’t been able to find an answer or a solution, I am really desperate and very tired as I try to blog professionally but nothing is working for me :'( I really hope someone can help me!
Thank you!
