I am using Advanced Uploader to put static files in their own permanent folders in my uploads folder, i.e. “wp-content/uploads/portfolio/painting”

How does Add From Server treat/interpret that folder?

I would like it to NOT add the folders to the /year/mo/ folder. (I’m pre-sizing and compressing each file, so I’d prefer not to have WP make three useless copies as well.)

Is there an AFS option, setting, or ini/php hack to ensure that any folder under the uploads folder is treated as “don’t make more copies”?

    Thanks. Great plug-in BTW.

Sorry for the delayed response, I’m mostly posting for anyone else who comes across this thread

That’s the default behaviour. If the file exists within wp-content/uploads it’s used as-is and is not copied.
