I’m planning on swapping domain name from one name to another, still keeping the first one but going to redirect for a while. Basicly I want to remap my stats from one domain to another since it’s the same web page.

Will my unique blogID (I’m not changing hosts just pointing another domain name to the site) be enough to keep the stats or do I need to do something else?

    Regards Christian

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

When you start using a new domain, a new set of stats will indeed be created for the new site.

If you’d like to keep your stats, it’s probably best if you post again in this thread once you’ve made the switch, and let me know what your site URL is. I’ll update your Jetpack settings on our end to make sure your current set of stats switches to the new domain.

    Hi again Jeremy

I’ve done the swap now, going from Sykkelhjulet.com to Sykkelhjulet.no
Reconnected Jetpack and my stats dissapaired as expected.

Could you go to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and disconnect / reconnect to WordPress.com. You can disconnect from WordPress.com thanks to the link at the bottom of the page.

    That should do the trick!

I brought today’s stats over as well. They should appear in your stats soon!
