I’m wondering if this can be done.

I want a Page that shows my GigPress Events listed at the bottom of the page.

I want to accept payment for those events from that page. This is a Page, not an Event. For instance, I would like for someone to enter how many tickets they want for each show and purchase them. I’m using WooCommerce.

I currently do not own Event Tickets Plus. I know it integrates with The Events Calendar Events, but will it integrate with a Page?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the question!

Event Tickets (which is required if you want to run Event Tickets Plus) can indeed integrate with pages – so this would be possible.

Please note however that neither will integrate directly with GigPress – but I see no reason why you couldn’t run them side-by-side and take advantage of the features of all three ??

Can you please explain how this can be integrated? The steps I would take?

    Thanks,

    Sure!

So you would need to install and activate all 4 plugins as a first step:

Naturally, you would need to configure WooCommerce and setup a payment provider if you haven’t already done so. From there, you would navigate to Events → Settings → Tickets and enable Pages as one of the supported post types.

Next you would visit the page you are embedding GigPress shows within and you would begin adding tickets there – a tickets meta box will be available within the page editor for this purpose.

    Does that help at all?

    That does help a lot.
    Thanks!

I originally posted my quest a few weeks ago and moved on having never figured this out being new to WP.

Ultimately, what I’m trying to do is have a single page of an event. This event is scheduled to happen on different dates in different cities (similar a band on a tour).

I’d like a person to select the city they want to attend, then buy tickets for that event.

I envision this behaving similar to a product with variations in WooCommerce, where someone can select a t-shirt then specify the size and color. Does that makes sense?

If so, is that somehow doable with these four modules or others? I realize it might not be, but if it is would you be able to give me an idea of how to do it?

    I greatly appreciate your help.

    Cheers,
    Stuart

    It’s definitely achievable ??

I would note that tickets created by Event Tickets Plus for WooCommerce act as standalone products rather than variations of a product, but that detail aside I see no reason why you couldn’t set up what you have described.

Of course, I don’t know exactly what you’re envisioning so it may be a little customization is required to craft the experience you are hoping for – though based on your summary it sounds like you could probably get a solid set of working ticket pages up and running using only out-of-the-box functionality, no mods required ??

if it is would you be able to give me an idea of how to do it?

As described in the welcome post, the level of support we can provide here is generally limited to collecting bug reports and steering people in the right direction when we can. I’m afraid we’re unable to go much beyond that.

If you’re curious about Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus though and want to get a better sense of how they work and what they offer, I would encourage you to check out the following new user primer:

    I hope that helps ??

    Hi Barry,

I do have Events Tickets Plus installed, configured and working.

I realize each ticket is its own product in WooC. That seems problematic to me. Say I have a tour of four cities and three price levels for each. That ends up being 12 tickets on one page. What would eliminate 8 of those tickets is if a user could select the city first then purchased the ticket price level they want for that city. Does that skew sense?

Since I’m eligible for support for having the ET Plus. Is there a way we can continue this discussion to another forum that would allow for a more in depth discussion? You seem very knowledgable about what can be done and how to do it.

    Thanks,
    Stuart

    Hey there Stuart,

Yep carrying on the conversation over here would probably be best – just log in, select the tickets forum and one of the team will be only too happy to help.

Do note however that even in a premium support context there are limits on what we can do when it comes to building customizations. In this case for instance it sounds like, essentially, you would like to refine the user interface a little so that only a subset of ticket options are presented at any one time.

This is definitely achievable and the gang can probably help steer you in the right direction, but I did want to set your expectations early that it’s unlikely they’ll be able to craft a complete solution for you.
