    Hi there,
So I decided to connect my UpdraftPlus with a new Google Drive. I followed all the directions to the T. When I back up, I can see it in my Google Drive (in chunks). But when I try to restore it, it’s giving me the error that the size is different, and therefore corrupt, and my restore fails. Any insight you can give on this? I use the Bridge theme by ThemeForest. It’s not that huge of a website, but it does have 3 video files that are rather large.

    Thank you,
    Tim

If you download the zip files from your Google Drive to your PC, can you open them on your PC? If so, then they’re not corrupt, and that would indicate the warning is a red herring. If not, then let us know.

I can open them on my PC. Very odd. When I go to download them from Google Drive, it tells me the files are too large to scan and that they may be corrupt. But I download anyways, and I can view my videos, my images, etc. Since they are sent to Google Drive in chunks I downloaded all the zipped files, and they all worked.

Sorry I had replied to this but now that I’m looking again the reply wasn’t there. Thank you for your timely response.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. I am on managed WordPress with GoDaddy and they backup my website every night – but all WordPress users know that catastrophe can strike any moment if you’re not careful enough. And I’d like to be able to use UpdraftPlus to backup to Google Drive / Restore. I set it up correctly (otherwise I would think the backup doesn’t work). I can see them in GoogleDrive, but every time, the restore fails. I always backup remotely as well. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    Thanks David!

    Hi,

Could you upload the downloaded copies of the backup files via FTP to your ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory (replacing any copies stored there). If you then try another restoration, do you still receive the size warning?

I’ll have to give this a try soon. A bit busy with trying to increase our SEO standing. Thank you for the help thus far! I’ll come back with an answer to that as soon as possible. While doing so, should I use FileZilla? That’s what I usually use.

    Thanks David,
