    Hello,

Here is a guide on setting up auto-return: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/paypal-standard/#section-7. Is it set to checkout/order-received/, or your full website address like https://example.com/checkout/order-received/?

Regarding adding text to that page, you can use this filter or any of the hooks on this template page: https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/blob/master/templates/checkout/thankyou.php#L38. Alternatively, you can override the whole template: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/template-structure/

    yeah, its https://www.gilmanportraitdesign.com/checkout/order-received/

but it isnt auto returning at all, i did go through that, and set it up correctly, its just not working. i should add that i am using a plugin that uses woocommerce, it is called booked.

thank you for the thank you page info, i will give that a try

If its setup on PayPal side but not returning, contact PayPal support. That redirect is outside of our control.

    Hello,

I was struggling with this same problem, receiving the below error message every time an order was placed using PayPal:

“You don’t have permission to access /checkout/order-received/7185 on this server”

For some reason, it began to happen after Paypal changed the old redirect page (the 10 seconds redirect page) to a new one.

I contacted PayPal letting them know about this. However, their help was pretty much useless (as usual). However, I was sure it was some kind of Woocommerce problem and apparently, it was indeed.

After placing several orders, changing several parameters in Paypal and Woocommerce. I solved the problem by changing the Invoice Prefix from the default to another one under Woocommerce’s PayPal settings.

    Best regards,
    Gabriel

    Hello,

Kind of a late reply, however, I just wanted to update this ticket.

I ended up resolving this problem with the following plugin: “PayPal for WooCommerce” which uses PayPal Espress which is better than default’s Woocommerce Paypal feature.

    Best regards,
    Gabriel
