    The extra title values are added by theme and/or plugin filters (but almost always by the theme). WPSSO itself does not manage the title value, except to tell WP about the separator value when requesting the title. The filters hooked into the title are the ones using the separator value.

    You can find / fix that badly coded filter, or enable the “Use Filtered (SEO) Title” option on the Advanced settings page to bypass all title related filters (Pro version feature).
