• WordPress 4.5.3
    WooCommerce Version 2.5.5
    Capability Manager Enhanced 1.5.7

I am trying to give the shop manager access to the orders & reports etc but not to the rest of the website.
It seems to me that they can not see orders unless I check the ‘manage options’ but then they also get access to Settings, front end publishing and all sorts of functionality that they should not have access to.
There are so many shop options in Capability Manager Enhanced I wonder if I am missing something?!? Surely it can not be unusual to want to give a shop manager access to orders but not be able to change the main site functionality.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

  • Have you tried user role plugins for that?

Oh I thought I was in the support area for Capability Manager Enhanced – sorry looks like I am in wordpress general support. Sorry!

Maybe I didn’t pick the correct plugin – I chose Capability Manager Enhanced as it was recommended and had good reviews.
I am a little wary of deleting and trying different plugins for user access as I can image the roles could get in a mess especially as ‘Capability Manager Enhanced’ has a notice saying that “Changes remain in the database even if you deactivate this plugin.”
