He has the blank line problem. Read this:

Thanks that helped and fixed my first friend’s site but I am not sure what to tell my other friend. It looks like his HTML generates incomplete links, which makes sense to why my RSS shows the articles but not the proper links. I have no idea how to fix that. But like I said the first problem is solved and that really helped, thanks.

Well, with him running WordPress 1.5, it’s extremely difficult to say what’s wrong.

    Upgrade.

OK I will try to convince him to do so. Wasn’t sure if it was something obvious or not. I have conviced him to purchase a hosting service, he just isn’t quite sure about how to start with upgrading from 1.5 to current and then transferring everything over to the hosting service. Are there any ways that are better than others. Sorry for changing the subject a little but I was hoping to pick your brain since I am pretty new with WP. And thanks for the previous solution his RSS is working great now, just disabled the plugins he wasn’t using and one of those was the culpret.

Upgrading WordPress from any version to any other version is the same basic process.

Note that making a backup is extremely important. Backup both the site and the database, in case you have issues.
