• Hi Everyone,

I have a real big prooblem! In the back end of wordpress in the Pages section when I go to edit a page it opens up with completely the wrong content. The front end of my site looks ok but when I go to edit the home page or another one I get a product page instead. This appears to be the same with every page.

I am running the latest version of WordPress, Visual Composer and Woodstock theme.

    Can anyone help?

  • Hello Molesque71,

Well, at first can you compare the Id of the post in question, with what you see in phpmyadmin ?

In your database, every post (page or post) should have the same unique ID number (you can check that in phpmyadmin in wp_posts)

Do you have differences between what you see in admin and the number in the database ?

IF so, your database is corrupted, and you should look at it with MYQSL queries or ask who did a bad migration or so (he forgot the unique keys with posts).

This has only happened in the past 24 hours. Prior to that it was working fine. I have not migrated or ported anything. I did however add jetpack plugin and then removed it. Could that have messed things up?

Well normally no, Jetpack is coded fine.

If you try to create a dumb post, same Id too? (both in backend and database?)

It is really weird that when in the backend pages section, if I click view under a page it takes e to the right page, but if I click edit on the same page it directs me to a product page. Could it be visual composer?

    (hithching head)

It really looks like your database is messed up, I hope you have backups but normally you should have some.

I don’t know about Visual Composer sorry, it’s not a module in Core and i won’t attack a third party developer.

Still, i can help you if you have backups of database before setup of this widget.

I have a number of them. What should I do?

I have figured it out. It was a plugin Tweet Wheel that did it. I just deactivated it and everything is almost back to normal!
