Awesome, thanks for that.
Testing things out, I see where I am kept on the same page when submitting through one form but redirected to a new page when submitting through the other. In this case, it looks like both of these forms are generated through the embedded form code provided for the MailChimp list rather than a plugin.
While our forum support will generally be limited to supporting the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin exclusively, I do have some insight that might be helpful here. When you have two of the same forms referencing the same Javascript file, you can see conflicts with the way the Javascript will function (like only applying to the first instance of a class or id). That seems to be what’s happening here.
In order to remedy this, you can use the embedded form code form once on the page in one of the sidebars, and the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin in the other sidebar. Each of these will reference different Javascript files and should operate independently of one another, but can still send subscribers to the same list and can be styled to match.
Another option would be to custom code your own forms. This might require the help of a developer, but this method would maximize your control over the referenced Javascript and other form code. MailChimp has some awesome API docs you can reference if you want to go that route: https://developer.mailchimp.com/
If you need help with your embedded form code beyond this, feel free to hit up MailChimp Support from within your MailChimp account. Paid accounts can get in touch through the in-app “Help” feature while logged in. Just go to the bottom of any article from there and you should see an option to contact Support.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions relating to the MailChimp List Subscribe Form plugin, and have a great day!
