Search results in "No results found for undefined"

    Hi,

    I am using the latest 10.3 version of WPSOLR on lateste version of WP.
    When entering a search term in search widget and pressing enter, I get an empty search result page with the error message: “No results found for undefined”.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. enter search term in widget, do not select suggested ajax search terms
    2. press enter

    This behavior only happens in widget and when pressing enter. Pressing the search button instead of enter works fine. Entering another search term directly on search page and pressing enter also works fine.

    I have no errors in any logs.

    You either did not read my instructions on how to reproduce, did not understand, or are not taking my error report seriously.

    You can easily reproduce the reported error on YOUR own site, please exactly follow these steps:

    1. go to https://www.gotosolr.com/
    2. click on magnifying glass in header to open search box
    3. enter any search term, for example “documents”
    4. press ENTER (do NOT click with mouse)
    5. You will get this result:

    Perhaps because you did no mention that this issue happened only when one press ENTER while the suggestion list is open. If one press ENTER before the suggestion list opens, or if no suggestion is shown, all is going fine.

    Can you confirm that on your side ?

    Yes, this happens when you press enter after the suggestion list is open. While further testing on your site, I also saw that it did not happen each time, even after clearing browser cache. Testing further, it seems you need to wait a few seconds after the suggestion list is open, then I could reproduce a few times in a row.

    Looks like you found the problem, I did about 10 tries (with cleared cache) on both EN and FR site, with various wait times, and could not reproduce.
