BEWARE: Backup files not made!!

    After installing backup Guard to backup to my dropbox, I get an email at midnight each day saying ‘backup was made successfully’ however in the Apps folder of my dropbox, no file is actually made. This is a pretty damn serious issue. The whole point of the email is to confirm success and put your mind at rest. How is it possible this plug in was written in such a way that the email is sent even when the back up fails?

    Of course I only discovered this when I had a problem and went looking for the backups.

    FAIL.

  • You might want to try the prior version, 1.1.8. My experience is that the current release, 1.1.12, does not make backups. I reported this in a separate thread.

    Please disregard my comment. Once I updated a new setting everything worked. Newer versions of the plugin have a new setting that you may need to set.
