    Hi,

I’ve been trying to install the RSS Aggregator. First I discovered we did not have the correct PHP version. So I updated that to 5.3.

Then I tried to activate the plugin and I got the following parse error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/43/6419843/html/latinolinkadvisors/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/wp-rss-aggregator.php on line 280

So I deleted the plugin and tried to upload it again. I hit the “ADD NEW” to add a new plugin, and I still keep getting this error. Now I can’t add any plugins.

I checked my FTP, and the plugin is not there. Why is this code still affecting the site?

    We have WP 4.5.2 installed.

    Thanks.

    I resolved the problem.

I manually installed the latest version (4.9) via FTP, and by this way was able to get back to adding new plugins via the interface and activate the plugin. I had to wait a while though.
