If I have hide admin checked my password protected pages get sent to error page

  • If I have hide admin checked –
    my password protected pages do no allow one to sign in,
    once you fill in the password it sends you to an “error this page can not be found page”

    I have both WordPress and ithemes updated to the most recent versions.

    (i saw this was an issue a year ago but did not see a solution posted)

    I’m also seeing this issue; any idea on a fix or a work around? Thanks.

    Any update on the status of this issue? Not being able to use the default password protect pages with iThemes security installed seems to be a major problem.

    I too am looking for a fix for this issue.

    ANy minimal response updating us on this bug would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

    I’m having this issue as well. Please fix.

    The problem is your form still use the old login url for password submitting (wp-login.php?action=postpass). It is not allowed if you have hide admin checked. Here is a workaround: replace the form action by “add_query_arg( ‘action’, ‘postpass’, wp_login_url() )”
