Redis – Some plan to include as a cache option?

First of all, congratulations for W3TC. This is a fantastic job and helps all WordPress users who intends to run a high performance web site.
My question is: Why W3TC don’t support Redis Cache protocol?
Memcached are a very powerful in-memory cache, however, Redis are presenting better features (https://www.infoworld.com/article/3063161/application-development/why-redis-beats-memcached-for-caching.html)
There are some Redis Cache plugins for WordPress, however, they are very basic and just support object cache. “Redis Object Cache” are a good example of this kind of WordPress plugin.
Are Redis support in W3TC roadmap?
