not display not approved use in member page

I would need to research how to do that. Right now, we allow that area specifically, just so that they can get a head start on their own profile data while waiting, and once approved, they can visit everywhere else. If denied, then the user is deleted and the profile data would go along with it, consequently. So it is a conscious decision.
