How to upgrade and keep league standings ?

    we use League Manager 3.8.9 since two years for an amateur soccer league. It runs well, but during current saison final we noticed some bugs. E.g. the +/- Points feature does not do correctly and some other issues.

    My question: How to upgrade to League Manager 4.1.1 without loosing the results of the two last saisons? (We have archive pages and I would like to keep everything from previous saisons.)

    My idea is to disable and delete the League Manager Plugin. And then install the new version. Has anyone already done this? Or are the database table structure perhaps incompatible? Or do I have to use the League Manager export feature and import again after upgrading?

    Of course I would do backup a before, but I’d like to know your experience with upgrades. Perhaps if this is not possible I can avoid useless tries ??
