Open search result in new tab/window

Like the other poster, I only miss the ability to open the search result in another tab/window to not disturb my current writing.
Without the plugin, I have to open the post list in another tab/window, search.
With the plugin, I have to save, search, do what I need, go back…So the usefulness of the plugin would improve dramatically if the Search button would just behave like a common link – then the result could be opened in a new tab/window with the option keys of the keyboard, like any other link…
