Was my site hacked?

  • Was my site hacked? When I attempt to go on my site the only thing i get is the simple little page I did a long time ago to see if the site was working.

    Where has the rest of the site gone? Was it redirected? I am looking at my server files right now and everything seems fine but I cant seem to find any redirect or anything like that.

    What is going on? Is the server down?

    I have it google cache of what it use to look like if you can help me.

    oh sorry the site is….https://www.themiddlerow.com

    If you go here https://www.themiddlerow.com/index.php you get a database connection error. It seems that your database must be down.

    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    You didn’t delete the wp-config.php while upgrading or something, did you?

    The Wp-config.php file is still there. There seems to be no problems with it…all the language is there. (though i don’t know what I am looking at)

    Database down? Does that mean the server has problems and the connection is not getting through? This would not be cause by wordpress in anyway would it?

    I am sure I have the correct password/username So that is not a problem. The host name is correct…we have https://www.themiddlerow.com and .net. I have been checking both and it seems to be the same problem.

    One last thing to bother you with…my sever states that I have used 1gig of space…and have only 900 megs left…could that be a problem?

    Perhaps you want to contact your host. That would answer Jeremy’s question and your last one.
