Just as a piece of information, here are the email settings I have https://i.imgur.com/7gg7Sfe.png

This is a setting under the List – settings in MailChimp.com

Everything is deactivated on mailchimp side and only happens when people purchase and they have the “subscribe to newsletter” box checked. not when they subscribe on the form so clearly this is coming from your plugin.

    Please advise.

    Hi John,

If you log into your MailChimp.com account and go your list settings, do you have the “Send welcome email” setting enabled there?

Here’s an article by MailChimp on this: https://kb.mailchimp.com/lists/signup-forms/enable-or-disable-final-welcome-email

This email is definitely not sent by our plugin, we can only send a flag to MailChimp whether to send it. However, this feature is being removed by MailChimp so we recommend using the list setting in your MailChimp account instead, as that will always work.

    Good luck!

Hey Danny, thank you for your response.
Actually I’ve had already done this, that’s why I’m really confused about this. I’ve attached some screenshots to show you my current settings based on my issue.

My understanding is that mailschimp is sending the email, that’s clear. But what I don’t understand is that when people subscribe on the form, no email = GREAT. But when they purchase and they have the “subscribe to newsletter” box checked, they do.

    A week later…

Nevermind, as I was waiting for a response from you guys, Woocomerce send me a solution that just came out called Follow Ups. Definitely less costly than Mailchimp on a yearly basis and much easier to manage than your plugin.

Not mentioning the response time from their team that is about 200x yours and the precision of the response that is about another 10x that.

    Cheers and good luck.
