Yes, you just need to select it and save your post. We are talking about standard posts and categories here, right? If you do this, you should see the proper permalink, in the posts list as well.

It looks like your permalink doesn’t contain the %category%, this is why it is not appearing. Did you check how your permalinks are set up? You can have a look at https://apps.meow.fr/wp-category-permalink/
