Difference between Posts and Blogs

A blog is a website made from a collection of posts. A post is a section of copy written by a content editor.

A lot of people refer to a blog as a single blog post and that sounds like what you are asking about and that drives me crazy when people do that, but like Andrew Nevins said, a blog is a collection of several blog posts whereas a post is just one post.
