"This request has been denied for security reasons"

  • I keep getting this error message when trying to update a post: This request has been denied for security reasons. If you believe this was in error, please contact support.

    I was working on it this morning and came back to it, then noticed the update button was greyed out. I restored the post, made a few more changes and updated. Then the error message.

    I have no idea what I should do and whether or not I’ll lose all my work if I close the tab!

  • I may be wrong, but I don’t believe that message is being generated by WordPress. Do you have any security plugins installed?

    If not, it might be your host.

    I concur with Jake — this looks like a message from your host. Ask them to check their logs.
