Shipping cost showing in Paypal ONLY in one country

  • Hi,

    After the upgrade to 2.6 and the setup of new shipping zones, the shipping fee is only passed to Paypal when ordering from Canada. The shop is based in Canada and the Paypal account is also canadian.

    Example

    Canada

    • Item: EX-02
    • Price: 99.95$
    • Shipping cost: 15$ (flat rate)
    • Selected billing country: Canada
    • Total showing in Paypal: 114.95$

    USA

    • Item: EX-02
    • Price: 99.95$
    • Shipping cost: 15$ (flat rate)
    • Selected billing country: United States
    • Total showing in Paypal: 99.95$

    So far, I’ve tried:

    • Switching theme to Twenty-Sixteen
    • Deactivating all plugins but Woocommerce
    • Deactivating and reactivating Paypal checkout option
    • Creating another shipping zone with a different price
    • Changing the store’s base location to United States
    • Ordering from another country than Canada or USA (Mexico)
    • Probably something else I’m forgetting

    Nothing has changed anything. If I order from Canada, the Paypal page will show and charge me the shipping price, but not if I’m ordering from anywhere else.

    It’s critical we resolve this soon since our client is receiving orders from the US as we speak.

    Update: I downgraded Woocommerce to version 2.5.5 and now shipping costs are correctly displayed and charged on the Paypal page. I updated back to 2.6.0 and it’s gone again. I don’t know what to do at that point except roll back the live site to 2.5.5 and wait for future updates…

    Does the shipping cost show on the checkout page for all countries, or only Canada?

    Try temporarily switching back to the WordPress Twenty Sixteen Theme, or Storefront, and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    The shipping cost is always shown on the checkout page. The problem is when it goes to the Paypal page.

    I did try to switch to Twenty Sixteen and disable all plugins but it didn’t work. The only thing that worked so far has been to rollback to 2.5.5.

    Here are a few ways I would try.

    Reset the shipping cost to $0.00, then put it back.
    Remake the whole form/shop(last-resort)
    Try the plugin: “Paypal for Woocommerce”.

    WooCommerce 2.6 made a change to include shipping costs as actual “shipping costs” when sending to PayPal.

    So you could be experiencing an issue if you have shipping rules set-up in your paypal account – because then PayPal will ignore your sites shipping costs. Check your paypal setting and be sure to remove all shipping costs there.
