Error on Activation

Tried to install this both by adding from the plugins search and by downloading it from here and adding the zip file.
Both times it said installed correctly but on activation just get a blank screen with the message.
“The plugin does not have a valid header.”
Returned to the plugins admin and the plugin shows installed but not activated.
