    Yes. I just tested changing the map type in the shortcode only to realize it wasn’t working. So, I just released version 1.0.7 to fix that. If you download the latest version, you should be able to do it like this:

    [stellar_places_map height="250px" width="250px" mapTypeId="satellite"]

    If you want to be able to see the road names and labels overlaid on the satellite view, you will want to use hybrid instead:

    [stellar_places_map height="250px" width="250px" mapTypeId="hybrid"]
