Two canonical tags

i’ve a problem with canonical meta tag , my theme has its own canonical meta tag and SEO wordpress plugin , how to remove the theme canonical tag ?
when i’ve searched on the theme files i have found that function which insert the meta tag in the header and when i tried to remove it i got errors, how to edit it to remove the theme canonical tag?
BTW Yoast canonical tag with double quotes
