    I hope you mean that you upgraded to 4.5.3 yesterday. 4.5.3 is the current version, and 4.2.2 is over a year old with several publicly known security vulnerabilities.

    As for the issue, try re-saving your permalink structure at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.
