Secondary category separated from main cat. / posts?

I have a main category where my the majority of my posts reside; I have added a secondary category that I’d like completely separate from the other. I don’t want to them to show on the main blog, only when the category link is selected do I want those posts to show.

Is this possible? Thank you,
