• Note to Kadence Themes: I have purchased this premium theme from you and I cannot access any support from you. When attempting to post this same post on your support forum I got this message: Sucuri WebSite Firewall – CloudProxy – Access Denied

    Not very helpful!!!

    Issue:
One of the reasons I upgraded to the premium virtue theme was to be able to change the portfolio permalink base that was locked in the free version. I upgraded, which gave me all the additional functionality options, but this field does not work. Anything you insert into the “portfolio permalink base” breaks the portfolio url. For example, rather than the default which is “portfolio”, I tried put in “art” – it created the url, and I went in and re-saved the post, but the link now doesn’t work and brings up the below error. I then did some further investigation and tried using %category% which worked, but then broke all my page links. So I had revert back from that change. What am I doing wrong here?

Here is an example of the portfolio post: https://www.claudiafeherart.com.au/art/octopus-bather-woman/ —->this is currently defined in the portfolio options, however change “art” back to “portfolio” and it works fine = https://www.claudiafeherart.com.au/portfolio/octopus-bather-woman/

Ideally what I wanted to achieve was to be able to bring in %portfolio_type% – which would just pick up all my categories (featuring hierarchy) this was the url structure I wanted to achieve if it picked up the portfolio type settings I have applied to the post: https://www.claudiafeherart.com.au/art-for-sale/modern/painting/octopus-bather-woman/

This error that appears on the page:
Not Found Home ? Error 404
Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.
It looks like this was the result of either:

    a mistyped address
    an out-of-date link
