Search only works once?

    Hey, is it just me, but is the Instant Search Suggest only “suggesting” one time?

    Recreation is a bit simple:

    1. Open https://pressily.com
    2. Search woocommerce
    3. click on a result
    4. browse $whatever_result_ya_picked
    5. Run back HOME
    6. Now, do another search for the word woocommerce

    On my end, your Instant Search works once, then decides to take a coffee break. It doesn’t want to fire up correctly until I make another fresh incognito session & do another search.

    Now, here’s whats under the hood:

    • php7,
    • instantclick,
    • MariaDB,
    • a Texas sized wad of cache,
    • CloudFlare, wpdb-sessions,
    • SpiderMan Undies,
    • AMP,
    • A sh_t ton of Mike Jolley & James Koster
    • A boat load of Pippin
    • …& I killed all sorts of wp_defaults heartbeat/ json/ emoji/ yadda yadda

    HOWEVER, I really don’t reckon any of that’d matter enough to make the second search not wanna cooperate.

    Can you think of why that’d be happening?
    error_log? Nope.
    console errors? other than me getting pissed at font-awesome? Nope.

    Apologies for the slow reply on this, I just spotted the email in my spam folder.

    I would say this is a JavaScript/CSS issue and not something server side related. I would make sure your console is free from errors and also keep your console open when you start searching to see if any AJAX requests are being made and if any errors are being returned.

    I can no longer see a search form on the site so I am unable to test these things.
