When I add or update one of my events it will not post to my website unless the start date of the event is the same as the publish date. That means that I have to put the actual event date into the body of the event and I have to update the event every morning to keep it visible. This is really a pain and no one seems to be able to fix it. Please tell me what the problem is. My website is vasecret.com my word press is [ redacted ] can someone please look into this for me. Thank you, Cindy Spear

First of all, please tell me you are going to change that password immediately after posting it on a public website. If you want to communicate with me more privately, I’m [email protected]. Mention RSVPMaker in the subject line.

I was able to create this post for a date in 2017, and it seemed to work mostly just fine.

The one screwy thing is the URL, which should have the date encoded into it. I tested on my own sites to make sure that function still works correctly. There may be some sort of filter function in your site theme or some other conflict interfering with the correct formatting of the URLs. But I’m not seeing that there is a problem with posting an event for any date.

I’m available to consult on site-specific problems, but there is a limit to how much volunteer debugging I can do on a free plugin. If you want that, I’ll need the FTP password in addition to the website password — but don’t post them in this forum!

@dave0369 If you have not done so already, PLEASE RIGHT NOW CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD.

Sorry for the volume but please never post any user IDs or passwords in any forums. It’s dangerous and there is no telling how many people logged into your site already.
