• Hi guys, it’s really getting tough for me to make this decision. I have a site that is getting a descent traffic. I need to add a few sections to the front page which are possible only through using the front page as a static page. I have already designed the static page containing the sections I wanted as well as the blog posts in the bottom as they are on my site.
I am afraid that changing the front page to static page would harm the permalink structure. My current permalinks structure is https://www.yoursite.com/%postname%. I really need those sections at front and I guess there is no other way to create those sections.
    Any genuine suggestions are welcome.

The home page is just another WordPress page. if you create a template called “front-page.php”, WP will use it to display the front page contents rather than any other page/post template.

Hi Steve, you mean that changing the wordpress settings of Front Page as ‘static page’ is not going to harm the permalinks structure?
