recommend book?

Can someone recommend a book?

I’m building a magazine web site with wordpress and having difficulty customizing it. I have the look and feel I want, but need to add specific categories to the home page, i.e. – cover story followed by features, each with excerpts.

Also need to add a cover image to the l sidebar. and an additional category there, as well as figure out how to add sponsor links to the right sidebar.

Seems like it should all be pretty straightforward, but I’m doing a lot of head scratching and whenever i post custo code from examples her i get errors.

Is there a book that shows how to create a magazine site?
