Where is featured images??

    Hey there! I just updated to 4.6 and the featured images link to attach a feature image to a post in the post editor has disappeared. Is there a different way to access this now?? Help!

  • Hi, @kermitt. Could you check to make sure that “Featured Image” is currently checked off in the Screen Options (which are accessible at the very top of the Edit Post screen)?

    Hi girlieworks…. I looked there first and was surprised to see that the option was no longer there :/

    I figured the issue… WordPress 4.6 was not compatible with my theme. I did a restore from backup to my database and website files right before the update and the featured images link reappeared, along with the option to have it ‘checked’ in Screen Options.
