VideoPress 404 Not Found: https://videopress.com/transcript/J44FHXvg/

  • I’m using WordPress 4.4.4. I have not installed a VideoPress plugin. I’m using only 2 plugins:
    “Contact Form 7” and “WP Google Maps”.

    On the WordPress Dashboard, when I press F12 to view the Console error messages, I see dozens of error messages like this:

    “NetWorkError: 404 Not Found – https://videopress.com/transcript/J44FHXvg/”

    The very first error message says:
    “NS_ERROR_FAILURE:
    https://www.ads-software.com/news/2015/12/clifford/embed/#?secret=OcUe7B6Edh
    Line 8″

    (Note: Coincidently(?), my WP Google Maps plugin no longer displays the map. I’m wondering if the root cause of this is due to this same “videopress error message” displayed on the WordPress Dashboard Console. The Google Maps used to display correctly before something else on my WordPress system changed.)

    What is the cause of the dozens of “NetWorkError: 404 Not Found – https://videopress.com/transcript/J44FHXvg/” error messages? Are these error messages causing a problem? What can I do to correct the problem? I’m a novice WordPress user and not a programmer, so please provide easy-to-understand instructions.

    That would be because there’s something wrong with the transcript on the VideoPress video embedded at https://www.ads-software.com/news/2015/12/clifford/ not a problem with your site. ??

    No, it’s because Google Maps started requiring an API key about a week ago. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-google-maps/ was updated about that long ago to address the issue.

    Make sure that you’re always using up-to-date plugins and WordPress. ??
