    Since the upgrade to 4.6, a couple of my sites are having strange image problems. For example, check the VTA-Sprinter.org site.

    In the first post, the first image is post-pended with the following text.
    300w" sizes="(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px" />

    The second image is post-pended with;
    600w, https://vta-sprinter.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/[email protected] 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />

    I’ve verified that cache has been emptied, all plugins have been updated and that the problem exists for the theme Twenty-Sixteen. I have also deactivated some potentially problematic plugins, without success.

    I remember having a similar problem a long time ago, requiring a change to functions.php or something similar, but I cannot find the original discussions.

  • It seems like you have injected script on your site, Did you insert any scripts ? And also your tag isn’t closed.

    No scripts that I know about, unless they are in a plugin. Everything was working up until the update to 4.6. That is what is confusing.\

    What tag are you referring to?

    Please install the following plugin “Theme Check” and check your theme for text domain errors and others and post the error here that you get

    Are you using a plugin/script to obscure email addresses with Javascript, for spam protection? It seems to be breaking your image tags because they have an @ symbol in them.

    seems that the code is not valid as per current wordpress requirements and security updates that’s why its not echoing the email you entered please install “Theme Check” and post the errors here i might be able to assist you with that

    You caught it; “Email Encoder Bundle” was the culprit. Deactivating it cured the problem. The sad thing is that I had deactivated it on my other sites, but somehow missed it on this one.

    Thanks for bringing me back to it.

    No problem. It looks like they fixed the issue in 1.4.4: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/email-encoder-bundle/changelog/

    So if you still want to use it, it should work after updating.

    Unfortunately, I was running version 1.4.5. It appears that WS 4.6 broke the fix.
