Issues with time on plugin

I started using your plugin a few days back. It is very useful however there are a lot of problems with the timer.
First of all, the timer restarts when window is closed. It also changes the total time taken by the user as shown in the results page. So suppose I took an hour to solve the questions but then I can close the window, restart the quiz and submit within, say, 20 seconds.
Also, the timer that is shown when I set the time frame for the quiz also is erratic in many ways. It also restarts on a window close. When it goes down to zero, it satys there even if the quiz is restarted. This may not be as problematic but the first issue is really serious for me as the criteria for selecting the winner of my quiz is first the marks and then the time taken to complete the quiz. Could you please help me out in this and provide some correction to your plugin.
