    Hey there,

I’m finding a strange duplication issue in the menu item after it’s expanded. It shows the following twice (one on top of the other):
Display Mode | Logged In Users Logged Out Users

Only by choosing the top Logged in Users do you get the list of roles, however, when you click one and save the menu, it forgets the option you saved, basically making the plugin not functional.

Wondering if it’s because I’m running 4.6 or if it’s perhaps a conflict with another plugin. Anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks!

Can you try disabling other plugins, and switching back to Twenty Sixteen to try to determine the source of the conflict? I’m 99% sure this isn’t a conflict with WP 4.6 as I can’t reproduce it on my side.

    Hey Helga,

You were right. After hours of sleuthing, I finally found the culprit:

Apparently they stole your code for one of their features I’m guessing as it looks exactly the same. ?? If that’s the case . . . not cool.

    Anyway, for everyone’s reference ??

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Ahh… glad that you found the culprit. they cut out the “by role” feature, but yeah, it’s veerrrrrry similar.

    Hi ruess,

Sorry to see that you experienced a conflict with our plugin. For this and other Toolkit modules, definitely check out our Knowledge Base before using them. The conflict with Nav Menu Roles and us incorporating parts of it in the Toolkit (both are GPL plugins) is mentioned at https://www.uncannyowl.com/knowledge-base/menu-item-visibility/. There’s a link to all Knowledge Base articles for each module on the settings page of the Toolkit when you turn modules on. We will be doing more to make the settings distinct, but where you have plugins on your site that conflict with Toolkit modules (menu visibility, login forms and redirection are common ones), we always recommend that you disable the associated modules in the Toolkit.
