    Hello there,

    Thank you for writing in.

    With the change in facebook graph API to version 2.7 the share count that we are using is no longer supported due to which the counts are appearing zero but we have already released an update of a plugin with this bug fix. Have you updated the plugin to version 4.1.8? If yes and still the counter is not working then please create a facebook APP and enter the facebook APP id and facebook APP secret in the miscellaneous settings then the counter should work fine.

    But if you have enabled the cache please clear the cache after entering the APP id and APP secret.

    We are also seeing this.

    We have updated to 4.1.8 and made the facebook APP id and facebook APP secret. Will this reset the counts to 0? We have cleared the cache.

    Do you mean still you are not getting any facebook share counts and all are showing zero after adding the facebook APP id and APP secret in the miscellaneous settings and doing the clearing of the cache? Have you made the facebook app live?

    No, the share counters will not reset to 0 by any means because the share counts are stored in the respective social media server and we are just pulling the value from respective server.

    I didn’t make the app live which I thought would have been the problem. But they are still not showing counters.

    Anything else that could cause that?

    I also tried clearing the cache.
