• When I start the WordFence scan I get the following error:

Wordfence Live Activity: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in /home/comknuffelsteen/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceHash.php on line 409

I have increased the the maximum memory that Wordfence uses several times, every time wit 50 megabytes. But I keep on getting that error.

    What can I do?

  • Hi Miranda,
Looks like your server is running out of memory, please check the following:
    – Go to (Wordfence > Diagnostics) page and search for “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT”, “WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT” and let me know the values assigned to them.
    – Go to (Wordfence > Options) then scroll down the page and make sure “How much memory should Wordfence request when scanning” has 256 Megabytes.
    – Finally, you may need to try any of these methods to increase WordPress memory limit on your server.

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.
