I have the wp-smush installed on my website. I had smushed all 5000+ images on my site. After de-activating the re-activating the plugin, it is telling me that i need to re-smush all 5000+ images.
The first time around, it was saving me 20% in space. This second time, it’s saving me 0.3%. I’m assuming the savings are so minimal because the images have already been compressed. However, why is it making me re-smush all 5000 images? That is a pain when doing 50 at a time.
Will it do that EVERY time I deactivate the plugin?
I typically de-activate my plugins when doing a wordpress update.

  • Hi @mukherjeeprem,

You just deactivated the plugin? Because it’s quite not possible that after deactivation the plugin suggests to re-smush the images.

Yeah, the images are already optimised properly and hence the 0.3% change.

Hmmm…I’m not sure what is happening because it is making me re-smush all the images which is a huge pain.

    Hi @mukherjeeprem,

Sorry for the delay in here, if you’re still experiencing this I’d like to debug it further and get it fixed for you.

Can you confirm that the issue still persists?

    Cheers
