• Hi

Does anyone know how I can paste a MS Word table into a post?

All of the options I’ve tried leave me with an unformatted table.

    TIA

  • This is also my experience. There is nothing wrong with the tables, it is just that they look very plain in wordpress. I guess there is no support for shading the backgound color or changing the size of the cells.

code that word uses is just that — code that word uses. Its NOT code that is meant to be used on the web and viewed by standards compliant browsers.

OK, I understand what you say ‘whooami’, but what if you want to have a table in wordpress that looks ‘nice’, in the sense that you control the background color of the cells and the size of the rows?

than you use HTML, just like you would were you creating any content that was intended for the web.

    Thanks whooami that solves it!
To others that might need this help: Here is a like that describes how to write HTML directly in the blog. It works with a bit of tweak you can get the table to look like you want.

It would probably also be possible to define a tabel template in CSS, but that is too advanced for me.
