Import from Blogger into specific category.

  • Hey all, need a little help here, hoping that someone out there can give me some ideas.

    I run a webcomic with wordpress using Tyler Martin’s amazing themes ComicPress. I’m the artist and the web guy, and my writer handles scripting, forums, merch and so on. We recently decided to integrate our blogs into our comic site, then redirect our blogs to the comic. The problem comes from they way WP imports from blogger.

    Our site runs on the idea that specific categories have specific content (take a look: https://www.blackvatican.com) As you can see there are a number of loops, each for a specific column of information. In order to integrate our blogs into our site I need my blog to import into category 5, and my author’s into category 6. Unfortunately WP creates a category for each tag in Blogger… And that’s the problem.

    Does anyone know of a way to import a blogger archive into a category, or the entire blog as one new category (then I can make our loops 5&# and 5&#)? Thanks.

    Really? Nothing. Someone has to have had a problem similar to this, or have some idea of how to hack a solution together. Help a blogger out here ??
