Needs Updates

  • This plugin is getting long in the tooth without an upgrade and, while I love the plugin, it is beginning to cause conflicts with newer plugins, or current updates to plugins with which it used to be compatible. I don’t think it’s been updated for at least a year and a half and its age is starting to show.

    Update: Apparently, the J-Shortcodes code removes the current version of JQuery (1.8.2) and replaces it with an old version (1.4.4) that is over two years old. In doing so, it runs the risk of rendering many plugins that rely on a newer version of JQuery inoperative, not to mention the fact that WordPress itself uses the newest version of JQuery. While it’s a good plugin to do what it does, without an update it will soon be causing too many related problems to be viable any longer.
