• Thanks for sharing your plugin, dwieeb! I had originally been misguided and realized that my posting on “one and done” when clicking was a mistake within my theme — and not the first by this theme, which is why I’ll probably switch to Catalyst.

I highly recommend this plugin if you want something flexible (you can have it in any area of your site — just adjust your settings; simple! And it has a modernized look to it, being semi-transparent; you can use one of the semi-transparent images he provides, or you have an option to use your own.

Thanks again for your time in developing this and sharing it with the WP community!

    Jason

    Hiya. Thanks.

I’m not seeing this behavior, could you share a link to the website so I can debug?

Hi. Sorry for the delay! I currently have a separate scroll-to-top type of plugin, although I like this semi-transparent one better. I currently have it in the bottom left.

As you see, it appears the first time you scroll down, then once you click it, it disappears: We Have Issues

Thanks for taking the time to read my post! Appreciated!

Can you enable my plugin on your site so I can debug? Also disable the scroll-to-top type plugin you have enabled currently.

Also, why would you give a poor review instead of a bug report or support request? Especially since you mentioned it may be your mistake.

I am more than willing to put in free support for this free plugin, but it’d be nice to have some accurate feedback.

Hi … I didn’t think it was a poor review; I didn’t intend for it to be as such. I’ll figure out a way to change it. I know plugin authors who share their plugins and widgets on their own volition shouldn’t be criticized, and I thought I explained it well.

Your plugin is activated — in the lower left-hand corner of the page, and that’s the behavior I was talking about; for some reason it disappears after the first click. I’ve even tried it on a vanilla install of 2012/2011 on another domain with just a fresh 3.5.1 WP and super-cache installed, and it exhibits the same behavior.

I’ll be looking into it myself, to try to see what’s causing this behavior. The current one I have in the bottom-right shouldn’t be an issue, and it’s not …

Thanks, though, dwieeb … I’ll see how to change that rating and if I can’t, I’ll do it from a separate WP login name. Lastly, people like me (seasoned in SEO, but a relative WP newb) sincerely appreciate the time and effort plugin developers like yourself put in for the world to share. By no means did I intend to cast a negative shadow on your efforts. And plugin developers who actually *respond* to support help deserve an extra +1!
