Really helpful

  • This worked really, really seamlessly for migrating my client’s wordpress.com site to her new self-hosted site. The second time I tried to use it { migrating www.ads-software.com content > another www.ads-software.com site }, I got image errors and permalink problems. However it was super for setting her up initially! Perhaps it works better importing from wordpress.com than from other www.ads-software.com sites? I had upgraded to 3.5.1 in case that helps.

    btw, The developer link in the plugin list returns WordPress standard importer plugin. I had to save the correct url in my notes. Just a nudge . . .
