• Great to see that someone cares about WordPress users that depend upon TripAdvisor for their businesses. This app simply displays a list of the last 10 reviews from TripAdvisor, with the same formatting that your page’s css would apply to the rest of your pages.

I do have a few issues: the ratings bubbles don’t display, instead you get a tiny icon that is basically unreadable. The overall rating isn’t displayed, and the “ratings in other languages” parts shows some undefined characters (that little square with a question mark) for words with accents or letters that aren’t in the English language.

Looking forward to updates, as this could be a great plugin!

    Hi

I’m sorry but can you explain

The readme.txt information instructs you to a nonexistent settings page.

All you need to do is install it as a normal wordpress plugin and then look in the settings menu for Tripadvisor SC menu.

There is no reference in the readme txt to go to a setting page.

    thanks
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

I don’t know how to remove this review now that I see I was too hasty (maybe you can help me with that?). I am new to wordpress and was expecting the settings menu to be somewhere else. Now that I can actually use the shortcode, I still have some issues with this plugin.

The images from Tripadvisor don’t show up correctly, so the number of rating bubbles are basically unreadable. Our overall rating is not displayed, just the last ten reviews. I would prefer something more like the widget that TripAdvisor provides in javascript.

That said, thank you for creating a plugin that no one else seems to have cared about! I hope I can look forward to future improvements.

    Hi

I should not worry too much about the rating. I’m not sure but I think you go to the plugin page you can reset the rating using the stars immediately under the my rating header in the sidebar.

With the problems with images etc you should be able to sort that out through css in your style sheet.

    thanks
    Kevin
